Hello Ms. Gold!
My comment doesn’t actually concern Your post here, but I wish You had time to check it out anyway.

I’m a Finnish student at University of Turku, and doing my Master’s Thesis about Internet and especially weblog history. I got interested in noticing that Your earliest post in this blog is from June ’88. It’d be a great help for my work if You could answer a couple of questions:

Have You really been keeping a weblog since 1988, and has it really been in this kind of a form even then? Or have the writings appeared in some other kind of website of Yours, like a journal site at a homepage? I’m asking this ’cause every book or article about blog history I’ve found says that blogs only came around after mid 90’s. Or have You picked up some of your (hand?)writings from 80’s and backdated them?

And finally, despite of what Your answers to my questions are, would You consider giving me a permission to use Your blog as material for my thesis study?
