blog comment brings glasses triumph
matt (whom I’ve never met but is now my new bgff) commented on my blog and sent me in a whole new direction. Screw Oliver Peoples for making something to break.
Matt sent me to the glassy eyes blog who confirmed what an utter scam the optical business is. Proof? I just bought a pair online for $53 smackeroos and thanks to the glassy eyes discount I got ’em shipped overnight so I can have em for the trip to SF and my Season Premiere on Friday.
The replacement lenses alone in my other glases cost $99 at a discount place.
The Glassy Eyes blogger now has a full-time job advocating for all of us who need glasses and find $300+ impossible or ridiculous to pay for glasses. I did not know it was ridiculous until today. It’s optional.
